Train services on Howrah-Barddhman canceled due bridge demolition | See Details

Train movement on the Howrah-Barddhaman route remains canceled for today (Sunday) due to an overbridge demolition work near Barddhman station. All Barddhman-bound trains from Howrah and Bandel will remain suspended. Barddhaman-Asansol and Barddhaman-Rampurhat branches will also be completely closed for local trains on Sunday.

23 pairs of special trains will run on the Howrah-Barddhman Chord and main branch on Sunday. According to Eastern Railway notification, all local, passenger trains between Howrah-Barddhman, Bandel-Barddhman, Barddhman-Asansol, and Barddhman-Rampurhat will be canceled on Sunday. On Monday, 6 pairs of local trains on the Chord line and 5 pairs on the main line of the Howrah-Bardhaman route will be canceled.

10 pairs of Howrah-Barddhman Chord line, 10 pairs of the main line, and 1 Bandel-Barddhman local will remain canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday. All trains on Howrah-Barddhman Chord and the main line will remain canceled for 18 hours on Thursday 9th. This situation will continue till 6 pm.

Apart from this, 118 mail and express trains including 49 up and down trains will remain canceled till February 13. 18 mail and express trains on various routes will be diverted to other routes till the 9th.

According to Eastern Railway, 27 pairs of special trains will run from Howrah to Shaktigarh on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday on the main branch. On the other hand, 24 pairs of Howrah-Masagram Special Locals will be run on those days in the Chord branch.
